The Olympic Torch Relay comes to Redcliffe - June 2000

The 2000 Summer Olympic Torch relay was the transferral of the Olympic Flame to Sydney in the build up to the 2000 Sydney Olympics.The torch passed through Redcliffe on the 15th June 2000 on its journey around Australia.


2 Redcliffe based photographers, Duane Hart and Michael Broadbent through Duane's Brisbane based sports photo agency Sporting Images, were accredited to cover the Olympic Games in Sydney as part of the Australian Media contingent.
