On June the 8th 1988, 12000 adults and 6000 children from 16 local Redcliffe schools joined in a celebration at Dolphin Oval.
Teachers taught the items to the children and parents and friends made the costumes.
Organised by Margaret Just and a large group of local teachers it was to celebrate the Australia Bicentennial in 1988.
